RIP Amy

New Kasabian album is quality. There last was also start to finish wicked, but I thought came out at a really bad time and got over-shadowed by Muse’s The Resistance.

Watch the Throne Tracklist Released

The tracklist for the highly anticipated and aptly titled ‘Watch the Throne’ album by Jay-Z and Kanye West was released today. If H.A.M. is anything to go by it’s gonna be an epic.

The massive hype already surrounding WTT is sure keep growing with the release of who makes the cut and where. It is a mix of people who I have great respect for and some that I had to Google.

I am a big Frank Ocean fan and it’s both great and makes sense that he has two outta the six exclusive collaboration spots. Finally there’s an RnB singer on the scene, that is credible, talented and not writing lyrics for stupid 15 year old girls. Lets face it RnB singers and Rappers are meant to go together, but while there’s always been credible, relevant rappers( like wu-tang, q-tip, mos def for eg) there’s never been many(if any?) RnB singers to hold their own against them (Instead we’ve had Chris Brown & R. Kelly). Beyonce, no surprise there. She has a new album to plug and obvious connection with hubby. And Otis Reading, whoa! Mr Hudson, whose on the G.O.O.D. music roster, and has previously worked with Jay-Z on his latest albums awesome closing track, also gets a spot. I’m also looking forward to hearing producing contributions from RZA, 88 Keys, The Neptunes and Q-Tip.
